Neck mass is a lump on the neck that can be large or small and is visible. These are not harmful to your health. Mostly the neck mass can be non-cancerous, you do not have to worry about them but some mass can be a serious problem. Pediatric neck mass is a growth of mass on a child’s neck. When you see growth on your child’s neck take him to the doctor immediately because a doctor can diagnose it whether it is a normal mass growth or a serious problem. Doctors have different techniques to diagnose a neck mass. There are three categories of neck mass development in children, which are:

• Neoplastic:

It includes lymphomas, salivary gland tumors, fibromas, pilomatricomas, and neurofibromas.

• Developmental:

It includes hemangiomas, thyroglossal duct cysts, branchial cleft cysts, vascular malformation, and desmoids cysts

• Reactive:

It can be a result of infectious lymphadenitis, Kawasaki disease, and lymphadenopathy.

They check your child with proper equipment and tests, later on, see that if there is something to worry about or not. Neck lumps can be caused by viral or bacterial infections or due to cancerous cells. Sometimes your body gives you a message about your health with these type of signs so that you get your treatment on time but if you do not pay attention to any abnormality in your body than it can cause you different problems. That is why you should pay attention to your body completely.

You can diagnose neck or head cancer symptoms through some signs which are:

• You will face some trouble during swallowing anything
• A lump in the throat, nose or neck will appear. It can be with or without pain
• You will face some trouble in breathing
• Your voice will change or you will feel hoarseness
• Your throat will be sore persistently
• A white or red patch in the mouth will appear
• Coughing will be frequent
• You will feel a headache all the time
• Your weight will be loss fast
• Your breath will be bad even you keep yourself neat and clean
• You will feel unusual discharge or your nose will start bleed
• You can feel a problem in hearing
